The Grand Challengers Podcast Episode #59
Human Consciousness is the most valuable business asset in the Age of AI
Guest: Galina Yordanova
March 24th, 2026
Overview
In a world racing toward AI-driven automation, what happens to the humans behind the screens? With nearly one billion people worldwide living with a mental health disorder, youth burnout rates climbing even in countries of relative abundance, and a loneliness epidemic that some researchers liken to the health impact of smoking 15 cigarettes a day, the question is not academic… it is existential. On this episode, human and organizational development expert Galina Yordanova makes a bold claim: “human consciousness is the most valuable business asset of the AI age”.
Galina is the Founder and Chief Awakening Officer of Awakenomy, a Swiss startup building a decentralized platform that connects consciousness practitioners e.g., coaches, breathwork facilitators, mindfulness experts, with businesses seeking to transform their cultures from profit-driven survival to purpose-driven awakening. Holding an MBA in Digital Transformations, certifications as an Agile Coach and trained facilitator, and over 15 years of experience spanning executive HR leadership, corporate training, and cross-cultural organizational development across Bulgaria, the United States, Austria, and Switzerland, she brings both the professional credibility and the personal depth to back up her conviction.
This conversation starts unlike any other on the podcast: Peter puts on a blindfold, and Galina guides him through a visualization of 2030, a future where AI handles everything with seamless efficiency, but something essential is missing. The experience sets the tone for a wide-ranging and deeply personal discussion that bridges the scientific and the spiritual. Together, Peter and Galina explore the neuroscience of consciousness, the biology of bliss (including the molecule anandamide, named from the Sanskrit word for joy), the emerging concept of Spiritual AI, and what quantum entanglement might suggest about human connectedness. They unpack why Gen Z is burning out in societies of abundance, why only 3% of companies operate at higher consciousness levels, and why the education system built for the industrial age cannot serve the knowledge and AI age.
Along the way, the episode features a remarkable exchange of books and ideas, from Spiral Dynamics and Reinventing Organizations to Psycho-Cybernetics and Reality Transurfing and draws on cultural references from Ghost in the Shell to simulation theory, weaving together threads that reveal just how interconnected consciousness, technology, and the future of work truly are. It also includes practical advice: breathwork, meditation, the power of single-tasking, and why your best ideas come in the shower (or, as Galina’s husband attests, somewhere equally private).
Whether you are a business leader rethinking corporate culture, a young professional navigating burnout and self-discovery, or someone curious about what it means to be truly present in a world of constant distraction, this episode is an invitation to pause, reflect, and awaken.

Biography
“…You find meaning, or consciousness everywhere, and everybody is capable of it …”
Galina Yordanova is the Founder and Chief Awakening Officer of Awakenomy and Chief People Officer at the Naoo Group (Naoo AG & Kingfluencers AG) in Zürich, Switzerland. She holds an MBA in Digital Transformations from BFI Wien, a Master’s in Business Economics, and dual Bachelor’s degrees in International Relations and National & Corporate Security from universities in Sofia, Bulgaria. With over 15 years of experience in people-centered organizational development, spanning executive HR leadership, learning and development for over 6,000 employees, post-acquisition integration, and C-suite advisory, Galina has built her career across four countries: Bulgaria, the United States, Austria, and Switzerland. Her professional journey began in retail management at Peek & Cloppenburg in Sofia before taking her to Vienna, where she spent eight years rising through merchandise, corporate communications, and eventually leading learning and development programs. She later held senior HR roles at JC New Retail AG in Zug and Kingfluencers AG in Zürich before joining the Naoo Group’s executive board. She is a certified Agile Coach (ICP-ACC) and trained facilitator with certifications from the Ruhr-Universität Bochum and Humboldt Universität Berlin, and counts Peter Sage, Dr. Joe Dispenza, Frederic Laloux, Tony Robbins, and Vishen Lakhiani among her key mentors.
In April 2025, inspired by more than two decades of personal exploration into consciousness, mindfulness, and human potential, Galina founded Awakenomy: a decentralized platform connecting consciousness practitioners with businesses seeking to evolve beyond traditional hierarchies into purpose-driven ecosystems. Through its Awakening Consciousness Index, Awakenomy measures organizational consciousness across eight dimensions, then connects companies with certified coaches, breathwork facilitators, and transformation experts tailored to their needs. Her vision emerged from a deep conviction that the 42-hour work week should actively support human growth, not just productivity, and from witnessing firsthand the toll that toxic cultures, burnout, and disconnection take on individuals at every level of the corporate ladder. Galina’s motto captures it best: “We are not here to fix the system. We are here to awaken it.”
Quick Summary & Highlights
- The Blindfold Experiment: The episode opens with a first-of-its-kind exercise where Peter is blindfolded and guided through a 2030 visualization, revealing what consciousness actually feels like when the noise of the world is stripped away.
- The Global Mental Health Crisis by the Numbers: Nearly 970 million people lived with a mental disorder in 2019 according to the WHO, loneliness affects one in two US adults, and suicide is the third leading cause of death among 15–29 year olds, yet most solutions still only treat symptoms, not root causes.
- Why Gen Z Burns Out in Abundance: Galina unpacks how social media, external validation, and systems designed for the industrial age create unique pressures for younger generations, even in countries like Switzerland where basic needs are well met.
- Spiritual AI and the Quotient Trinity: Drawing on Dr. Muskan Garg’s book Spiritual Artificial Intelligence, Peter and Galina explore how IQ + EQ = Spiritual Quotient (SQ), and why this framework matters for the future of both human and machine intelligence.
- Awakenomy: Awakening the Economy: Galina’s startup is building a decentralized marketplace connecting coaches, breathwork facilitators, and consciousness practitioners with businesses ready to evolve beyond KPIs and profit as their sole operating principles. Visit Awakenomy
